Debra Williams
CopperTree Inc.
Before working on sewing the poly sample bags.
Deb never knew how to sew. Learning how to sew
has been a difficult experience for Deb. Not
only was this a totally new job for her, but she
was very nervous and anxious about having to sew
over and over again for months, until she was
comfortable sewing. She needed a lot of staff
support and encouragement for her to continue to
try to do this. Deb needs to know that she is
doing a good job and worries whether she is
doing her job correctly.
On top of all this, the staff was unaware that
Deb had cataracts and must have been having a
difficult time seeing. But Deb never complained
or said anything to staff about her vision
continuously declining. She just continued to
work on improving her sewing each day, until she
was able to sew on her own. We just recently
learned that Deb had cataracts and has just had
one removed, and will be getting the other one
done soon. Deb has really shown that she is a
dedicated employee by striving to achieve this
sewing job. Deb also has proven to be a
dedicated employee by attending work during
inclement weather when many other do not.
