Cindy Mancini
Allied Healthcare Services
Cindy began her employment career cleaning
houses in the Pittston area until February,
2000. Upon a visit to her doctor, Cindy was
diagnosed with Rheumatic Heart Disease. She
immediately underwent a Mitral valve
replacement. Cindy spent two years recuperation
from the surgery and helping to take care of her
mother. She attempted to return to house
cleaning but found she didn’t have the stamina
to return to her profession. She remained
unemployed and unsure of what positions she
could perform with her disability. A friend told
her of the Allied Services Photo Licensing
Program. Cindy called the Director of the
program who set up an interview. She was found
to be a qualified candidate and was hired.
Initially, she worked at Honesdale and Milford
Photo Licensing sites. When an opportunity arose
to transfer to a busier center open five days a
week in Dunmore arose she applied and based upon
her past performance was hired.
Currently she will work at Milford, Honesdale
and Syndersville as well when the need arises.
Cindy has proven to be an excellent employee.
She has maintained high SCI scores throughout
her career. She is reliable and punctual,
processes customers in a courteous, friendly and
time efficient manner, willing to travel to
other sites when needed, and very conscientious
of how important providing an accurate and
secure finished product to her customers is to
the State, PIBH and Allied Services. She
exemplifies what the Nettie Mann Award is all
about. She has turned her inability to return to
her past work into being a great asset for our
program. Cindy resides in Waymart with her
husband Leo who is the Pastor at the First
Baptist Church in Waymart.
In her spare time she enjoys crocheting, reading
and most importantly spending time with her four
sons and three grandchildren. Cindy’s guide to
everyday life is Proverb 3:5-6 says Trust in the
Lord with all thine heart, lean not unto your
own understanding in all thy ways, acknowledge
him and he shall direct thy paths.
