Document Shredding

| Off-site document shredding services. All labor, equipment, materials, supplies and transportation necessary to complete the shredding service is provided. Secured storage containers (125lb or 300 lb complete with lid, hasp lock assembly and heavy-duty casters) can be provided at no additional cost, or the documents may be presented for shredding in cardboard boxes. Scheduled pick-up shall be agreed upon between PIBH and the customer. All documents shall be destroyed via shredding within the IRS 5/16-inch specification requirement, recycled per ACT 101, and in accordance with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations and ordinances. All services will be performed in a professional manner in accordance with industry standards and practices. PIBH will maintain signed confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements from all involved personnel and provide copies to the customer at the beginning of the contract, thereafter upon demand, or when a new employee is used in conjunction with the services being performed. Mixed paper may contain paper clips, staples or metal fasteners. PIBH is capable of shredding plastic transcript covers, floppies, audio-video tapes, CD, DVD, etc. The customer must separate the media from the paper. Mixed loads (paper and plastic mixed) may be declined by PIBH. PIBH will provide a certificate of destruction to the customer which includes the date the documents were shredded, customer name, cost and shredded weight. If a county is not listed above, you may proceed with procuring the needed service(s) from another supplier in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Code, 62 Pa. C.S. Section 101 et seq. and Field Procurement Handbook, applicable to your agency. | |||||||||||
